Student Project Example

In the Fall of 2012, Open World got a group of students together to create a fun and collaborative promotional video for the cause and its mission. Since that time, the video has been used extensively to help spread awareness about our mission. It was incredibly fun and rewarding to create!

If you have questions about getting involved or what it would take to become a contributing member, please do not hesitate to send us a message.

Open World has recently become an active and collaborative student organization at the University of Kansas. It’s incredibly easy to get involved on a student-to-student level in our organization given the opportunities to commit volunteer hours on any given day. The list for ways to get involved is consistently growing, so if there’s something you’d like to do for us that we haven’t included here, please do not be shy about sharing your idea at a group meeting or e-mailing us about it to begin discussing how it would work.

Student Activities

As busy as we all are as students, we really don’t subscribe to the idea of demanding service hours or strict requirements. We have tried our best to make getting involved with our organization an easy and enjoyable experience. You can help us for a day, a semester or for your entire stay at KU. Here’s what you can do:

  • Tabling and Promotional Events
  • Chalking Campus
  • Flyer Postings and Handouts (on campus or downtown)
  • Collaborative Group Meetings
  • Fundraising Assistance
  • Campaign Strategy
  • Video Creation and Editing
  • Other Personal Contributions (often a unique opportunity to use your study focus)
