Communities We Support
Nepal
Tripur Kinder Academy
Narayanpur, Nepal
We’ve been with Govinda and Sudha Panthy from the beginning. Even before supporting TriKa (Tripur Kinder Academy), we supported Govinda at the SAV School in Nepal. Executive Director, Ben Honeycutt, connected with Govinda in 2010 and we’ve been working with him ever since. Govinda, along with his wife and principal of TriKa, Sudha, provide education for children in the rural Tharu community in Nepal. Along with the construction of the school, Open World provides funds for a lunch program, teacher salaries, and educational materials.
Kenya
HIPAfrica
Kimilili, Kenya
Proud Partner from 2015 through April of 2019!
HIPAfrica is run by Livingstone Keygode, founder of HIP Academy in Kenya, a Skype master and leader in his community. After our first trip to Nepal, Open World solidified a partnership with Livingstone. Livingstone inspired the Open World team by his efforts to start a school to educate the children of a rural community in Kenya. Later, Open World funded the purchase of a community water filter for the students of the HIP Academy. Open World has contributed in building efforts, paying for teacher salaries, providing water filters, and school uniforms for children.
